Item Restricted Environmental Benfits of transitioning from fossil fuels to clean Energy(Saudi Digital Library, 2025) Alanazi, Mamdouh; Gonul, SinanThis dissertation examines the impact of using clean energy sources instead of fossil fuels, in terms of the environmental impacts, using the case of the UK, which will focus on solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy. A mixed-methods study design merges primary data in questionnaires filled by 100 environmental professionals and a comprehensive literature review. The results indicate that there have been enormous environmental benefits, such as up to a 95% cut in greenhouse gases and a massive reduction in air/water pollution. These findings are consistent with the available sources that focus on the viability of wind and solar energy systems. However, critical pullbacks like high upfront pricing and grid infrastructure constraints remain. To combat these problems and facilitate achieving the UK goal of net-zero emissions by the year 2050, this dissertation proposes more substantial financial incentives, funding for grid modernization, and public education. The strategies will help fast-track clean energy use to achieve national and global sustainability objectives. The research supports the fact that clean energy is essential in ensuring the long-term improvement of the environment.0 0
