Performance Adaptation of Gas Turbine
Abstract
Many gas turbine companies invest in the development of diagnostics and prognostics of gas turbine engines, which magnifies the importance of performance-based monitoring. Achieving a better diagnostics is ensured with an accurate engine model that depicts the real engine. Nevertheless, the engine model accuracy relies on data availability and characteristic maps, which sometimes they seem complicated to obtain these data as engine’s manufacturers tend to hide it. Consequently, the idea of performance adaptation is introduced to adapt the engine model to a real one
