Abstract
This narrative review examines the impact of structured diabetes education on HbA1c levels in adults with type 2 diabetes in Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Sixteen studies were reviewed using systematic research and appraisal methods. The findings show that structured education improves glycaemic control, especially when programs include sufficient duration, multidisciplinary teams, cultural adaptation, nutrition guidance, medication support, and regular follow up. The review highlights the importance of developing standardized and culturally appropriate education models to improve diabetes outcomes in the region.
