Developing General Secondary Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Light of the Requirements of Entrepreneurial Education

Abstract

The study aimed to establish an intellectual and philosophical framework for entrepreneurial education in terms of (concept - objectives - dimensions - requirements), and to determine the intellectual foundations on which the development of secondary education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is based, highlight the role of entrepreneurial education in the development of secondary education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and reveal the most important requirements for the development of secondary education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the requirements of entrepreneurial education from the point of view of education experts. To achieve these goals, the study used the descriptive approach and the questionnaire tool to collect data and information. This questionnaire was applied to a sample of education experts at the College of Education, Taibah University in Medina, and the College of Education and Arts at Tabuk University, consisting of (236) faculty members. The study results reached the importance of providing social and cultural requirements, the weakness of available capabilities and interest in form at the expense of content in education development processes, the weakness of measuring secondary education outcomes, the weakness of training programs provided to secondary education workers, the focus on form and attendance, and the weakness of their evaluation methods, the lack of awareness among secondary education institutions of the importance of the trend towards developing education and transforming it from traditional to entrepreneurial, the severity of the obstacles that hinder the development of Saudi secondary education and efforts must be combined to overcome them by providing these requirements that help develop education; In order to help students to be creative and innovative to keep pace with the technological age and the age of knowledge and artificial intelligence. In light of the results reached by the study, and what was presented by the study verses, a proposed vision was developed to develop secondary education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the requirements of entrepreneurial education.
