Abstract

Background: communication is regarded as a primary medium of care delivery. Moreover, effective therapeutic communication skills are considered to be valuable as tool to assess the needs of the patients’ and facilitating the delivery of appropriate physical care, emotional support, knowledge transfer and the exchange of information. The ability to effectively provide information to patients—older adults in a clear and comprehensible format is considered a central aspect of healthcare delivery.
