One billion tress

Abstract

The One Billion Trees campaign requires effective leadership and management to achieve its goal. Strong leadership practices are crucial to ensure a clear vision and objectives that can also motivate stakeholders and communities to participate actively (Chartered Management Institute, 2020). Management procedures help in maintaining proper coordination among different entities by which resources can be allocated to meet project milestones (Shore and Cross, 2005). Through collaboration, effective leadership and management practices can enable sustainable reforestation, contributing to Mongolia's climate change goals. The One Billion Trees project is an ambitious campaign that was launched by Mongolia aiming to fight against climate change and improve environmental sustainability (Nergui, 2024). The key objective of the campaign is to support the worldwide initiative to mitigate the issues of increasing climate change as Mongolia has been facing tremendous environmental concerns such as air pollution and desertification. The primary aim of the study is to critically evaluate the importance of organisational culture, project management leadership theories and change management models applied in the context of One Billion Trees. This task will effectively showcase their application for achieving project success and community involvement through targeted sustainable environmental goals for the reforestation process in Mongolia.
