Abstract

Saudi Arabia is witnessing a massive transformation in its tourism and sports industries as part of Vision 2030. Numerous projects have been developed to enhance the nation’s global appeal and promote active lifestyles. Through my academic research, I conducted an in-depth study of Saudi Arabia’s sports sector and developed a business plan that integrates both the sports and tourism industries. The concept focuses on guided outdoor active experiences—including hiking and cycling tours—that combine physical activity with cultural, historical, and environmental storytelling. This business uniquely emphasizes Medina’s historical heritage, religious legacy, outdoor fitness, and local community engagement. Licensed local guides, authorized by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, will lead these experiences, ensuring authenticity, safety, and alignment with national tourism goals.

This business plan seeks to support the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by fostering sustainable tourism development, enhancing public engagement in physical activity, and highlighting the cultural, historical, and environmental significance of Medina.
