This will include the study of students between the ages of 25 and 45. Doreyni (2007) studied motivation as a field that effected learning. Motivation, however, is complex, and not often applied linguistically, to explain human behavior, such as language acquisition. Studies have demonstrated the importance of self-motivation as it relates to adult learners, who are learning English as a second language. The study will work to determine the influence of motivating factors and perception of self-efficacy for learning L2. To meet these goals, the study uses a mixed method approach, through a combination of quantitative and qualitative survey collection, which were triangulated with interviews, to determine the perception that students have, as it relates to their own self-efficacy, and their motivational factors, as it relates to their success at learning English. This study includes responses from 51 participants, including 25 female and 26 male students, all of whom met the inclusion criteria established for the study.enUnderstanding the Roll of Motivation and Self-Efficacy for Adult International Students in UK Universities, as it Relates to L2 (English) Acquisition
