A framework of the insurance products is carried out performing an extensive literature review and then analysing each product by a research in the best-known insurance companies web sites, and in the most popular comparative websites available in the internet. The analyses are then performed considering the contracts made available by the insurance companies based in the UK, however, a useful analysis of the main features of the insurance contracts available in the Arabic countries is also assessed at the end of the project. This is to provide a better understanding of the potential impact related to the insurance products that are Shari’ah compliant, a market that is still unexplored / underestimated. Specific features and some clauses of car insurance contracts, along with their price ranges and variances, are tested in order to make an attempt in verifying the strengths and differences in actuarial calculations, and insurance companies’ strategies. Interesting, and sometimes surprising, results are observed while considering some characteristics of the car insurance markets.en
