This study focuses on creating hydrophobic surfaces on LCEs by integrating nanoparticles (NPs). NPS-modified LCEs were synthesized, and their properties were characterized, including surface roughness, contact angle, and mechanical testing. The NPs modification has increased the water contact angle, indicating an enhancement in the hydrophobicity. The modified surfaces effectively repel water droplets, demonstrating a successful hydrophobic modification achieved, opening the doors for a wide range of robotics and biomedical applications.20enLiquid Crystal ElastomersNanoparticles ModificationHydrophobic SurfacesWettabilityHydrophobic Surface-Modified Liquid Crystal Elastomers via Nanoparticles IntegrationThesis
