It also can facilitate communication and reduce communication problems that might occur between native and non-native speakers. My project focuses on teaching pronunciation, including segmental and suprasegmental features for both the MSA and Hijazi varieties of Arabic. I have focused on this to address the needs of learners who want to be able to communicate with native speakers using both types of Arabic. The project is a portfolio of activities that was designed based on the communicative framework phases for teaching pronunciation. Sample lessons demonstrate my application of these activities integrated with different skills.
