CMV is a critical issue in power electronics, leading to problems such as motor bearing failure and electromagnetic interference. This study evaluates three Active Zero Switch Pulse Width Modulation (AZSPWM) techniques for the reduction of CMV (AZSPWM1, AZSPWM2, AZSPWM3) and compares their performance against Space Vector Modulation (SVM). Three parameters were used to analyse the mitigation methods performance including CMV levels, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), and Torque Ripple. Simulation results highlight the effectiveness of AZSPWM strategies in minimising CMV while maintaining desirable inverter performance.
