The model produces reliable and reproducible results that have undergone partial initial validation against the benchmark publication findings. Also, as part of the project mentioned herein, a first self-consistent fluid model was developed for the sustained self-sputtering behaviour of plasma in the pre-sheath region inside a magnetron system.
