The principal objective is to determine the most suitable probability distribution model for forecasting rainfall, providing valuable insights for flood risk management and water resource planning. The application of the three-parameter lognormal distribution has been shown to result in a strong correlation between localised rainfall data and improved predictive accuracy, particularly in regions characterised by complex topography.
