The complexity of the relationship between stress and pathogenesis of diabetes have not been well searched on the view of traditional medications comparable to the modern therapy. Therefore, the current study was designed to investigate the efficacies of aqueous garlic and onion extracts, camel milk, Zn, Cr and insulin in alloxan (ALX)-induced diabetic rats with respect to the interactions of some indicators; body gain, glucose, antioxidant defenses, anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-4 and IL-5), liver function tests, lipid profile, insulin, C-peptide and histopathology of pancreatic specimens.
