The Role of Management Information Systems in Decision-Making

Decision making is an important administrative process, but it should be stressed here that not every process requires a decision, but each process requires a different kind of information than other processes. Therefore, information systems play an important role in providing this information in a timely manner and helps the companies to solve Management problems they face. The objectives of the study are to examine the impact of MIS on the decision-making process in the telecommunications sector in Saudi Arabia to determine whether decision-making is influenced by factors such as data, hardware, software and regulatory requirements. The study focuses on the communication sector in the Qassim region, represented by STC, Mobily and Zain. A questionnaire has been used for interviews with 171 responses. The data has been analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis.
