    Derivations in prime rings

    In this project, we study derivations and Jordan derivations in prime rings. We present a well-know result given by E. Posner about the composition of derivations. Also a relationship between commutativity of a ring and the existence of a non-zero derivation is presented. Finally, we present a well-know result by I. Herstein which states that every Jordan derivation on a prime ring of characteristic not equal to 2 is a derivation
