Abstract
Millions of Muslims travel from around the world to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. King Abdulaziz International Airport is the primary gateway to the holy cities in Saudi Arabia which is located approximately 61.5 miles away from Makkah. Due to the huge volume of passengers arriving in a short period during the Hajj season, King Abdulaziz International Airport faces significant challenges. This study develops a toolkit for modeling capacity during Hajj. It also encompasses the creation of a planning checklist and software support tools, which feature a schedule simulation and a gate assignment tool.
