dc.description.abstractAvulsion of the nerve roots is frequently found in patients with brachial plexus injury following road traffic accidents, or as a result of severe arm traction during complicated deliveries. This injury still constitutes a challenging clinical and surgical problem. The literature is replete with animal experiments to study the effects of such avulsion lesions.
