Abstract
The current study has three objectives: first, to understand the determinants of foreign banks’ entry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA); second, to identify the relative importance of entry determinants; third, to explore the challenges faced by foreign banks in the KSA. A mixed-methods approach has been employed by to achieve the above aims of the study by applying both quantitative (questionnaire) and qualitative (semi-structured interview) methods. This study could help develop our understanding of foreign banks’ entry into the developing and emerging markets. It also provides several theoretical, practical, and policy recommendations
