Abstract
Organizational communication is the communication within organizations such as nonprofits, companies, and governments. Organizational communication includes different forms like formal, informal, and directional. Organizational communication is different from general communication. General communication is informal and unfollows a set of forms. Organizational communication is very important when it comes to any organization. Effective organizational communication helps with a smooth sharing of ideas, providing moral support, and igniting cooperation among members of the organization. The success of schools relies on the efficient use of effective communication to create a sense of belonging, reinforcement of needs, emotional communication, and leadership.
Therefore, the aim of the current study is to investigate whether schools use a form of organizational communication that is understandable to their members and follow their policy to achieve their vision and goals and adjust to diverse situations in Riyadh high school in Saudi Arabia. Teachers dedicate an amount of their time to dealing with important communication matters such as performance feedback, schedules, changes in curriculum, and school policies.
This research explored the role of organizational communication relating to teachers’ sense of belonging, with a focus on Saudi Arabia's school context. The study explored the relationship between Organizational Communication and teachers’ Sense of Belonging using a descriptive and inferential analysis on the sample of 328 teachers from Riyadh high school’s district.
The study revealed that there is no statistically significant weak positive relationship between the Organizational Communication and the Sense of belonging. The findings showed that the subgroups of gender, school setting, and years of experiences in the study showed no statistically significant differences.
