dc.description.abstractThis research project aims to explore ways to build an effective and healthy environment that can help in the reduction of obesity amongst women in Neom, Saudi Arabia. As part of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision, the nation aims to produce a healthy environment for Saudis. This research project lays out foundational research work that support the idea that a destination spa with the sole goal of weight reduction is an effective way to significantly reduce obesity rates amongst women in Saudi Arabia. This research paper employs a literature review, case studies, analysis of cases, and interviews to support the premise of the paper. The main research question for this project is as follows: How can we design active environment that can impact the slope of obesity amongst women in Neom?
