Abstract
The importance of wireless network since last decade has raised the importance of concept of decentralization and localization. This directly guides us to the advent and seamless effect of Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) in wireless world. VoIP is next to replace Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). VoIP in Ad-hoc network must be demanding research area as well as challenging to implement since the wireless links in an Ad-hoc network are highly error prone and may go down frequently because of node mobility, interference, channel fading, and the lack of infrastructure. Transmitting voice in Ad-hoc network requires high bandwidth as well as high reliability. In Ad-hoc network every terminal has to perform some responsibilities to transmit/forward packets of others. Hence, multi-hop voice transmission is required with an efficient routing protocol. In this research work we will test transmitting voice over multi hop Ad-hoc network using a cluster based and energy aware routing protocol titled "'A Warning Energy Aware Clusterhead (WEAC) Protocol for MANETs" and an efficient and comparatively low bit-rate encoding technique named G.729.
