Abstract

Photography as a medium can potentially heal thoughts of despair and depression presenting a positive resource for mental health. The focus of my thesis relates to the sky’s elements that are visible from all parts of the world and can offer viewers a spiritual experience. The intent of the thesis body of work is to help people create a world from within themselves using the elements of the sky as a means of self-help and healing to find their inner strengths. This research is grounded in the intersection of psychology and photography, recognizing that art can positively influence an individual's psychological state. The universality of the sky's elements and their visibility from all parts of the world also underscores the interconnectedness of humanity. Through this exploration of photography, the objective is to bring the beauty of the sky's elements closer to viewers, providing a sense of closeness to their home. To demonstrate the adaptability of art in achieving its objectives, four different printing methods were utilized, resulting in a variety of final outputs. The research's overarching goal is to enhance psychological well-being and cultivate feelings of comfort among a diverse range of individuals.
