dc.description.abstractDental clinics use mercury-based amalgams for teeth restorations. In this research wastewater samples were collected from 5 dental clinic in Al-Madina Al-Munuwarah over a period of 2 months and analyzed for mercury using ICP-MS. The total amount of elemental mercury released with the wastewater of the investigated clinics 1,2, 3, 4, 5, respectively. The potential of waste generated from dental clinics as a source of mercury pollution of the domestic wastewater treatment station.
