Abstract
This research was undertaken in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to describe the experiences of women who are living with psychosis, and of the nurses who provide mental health care. The women and nurses shared stories and offered insights into the challenges they face. The findings will assist the KSA workforce to rethink mental health nursing practice and education. Participants highlighted needs to address language differences, and for more advanced mutual understanding and therapeutic connection. Additionally, there are needs for more conducive healing spaces, mental health education programmes for consumers, and improvement in wider community awareness of psychosis.
