| dc.description | يشهد المركز التجاري بمحافظة الخبر تطورا مضطردا وتوسعا ملحوظا في الأنشطة التجارية مما استدعى تغيير استعمالات الأراضي من سكني الى تجاري ونتيجة لهذا التوسع تشهد المنطقة إزدحاما في حركة مرور السيارات وخاصة في وقت الذروة ومن أهم أسباب هذا الأزدحام هو عدم توفر العدد الكافي من مواقف السيارات بالمركز مما جعل هذه الدراسة موضع الأهتمام . ولذلك جاءت هذه الدراسة لتحديد مواقع النقص في مواقف السيارات بالمركز وایجاد الحلول المناسبة وذلك اما بتوفير العدد المطلوب من المواقف او بالتحكم في استعمال المواقف لتفادي تفاقم مشكلة الأزدحام وهذا مما يساعد على خدمة مرتادي المركز وتطوير المركز ونموه . تشير الدراسة بأن مواقع النقص في مواقف السيارات متفاوتة وذلك تبعا لكثافة الأنشطة التجارية والتي تعتبر من أكبر مولدات حركة المرور والأكثر حاجة لمواقف السيارات من أي نشاط آخر . من خلال الدراسة تم وضع بعض التصورات المستقبلية لمساعدة المسئولين لتعديل الوضع الحالي للمركز وتوفير العدد المطلوب من المواقف الشيء الذي من شأنه أن يعزز نمو المنطقة تجاريا ويزيد من أهميتها كمركز اقليمي . | |
| dc.description.abstract | This study tries to investigate parking conditions in central Business District of Al Khobar and to find proper solution in order that parking can support and cope the existing and future landuses in the study area. Through this study it was indicated that the area is witnessing landuse change, mainly from residential to commercial, without any provision of parking spaces. The study indicated that there is an uneven parking deficiencies in the area. Solution were proposed to officials in order that the area can facilitate shoppers and residents efficiently. | |
