The present study aims at developing an antigen-capture enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (Ag-ELISA) for detection of Haemonchus longistipes antigens, and to evaluate its ability to, detect these antigens in naturally infected camels (Camelus dromedarius). Fecal examination, using flotation technique, of 105 slaughtered camels in Al-Ahsa province of KSA revealed 20% prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites in these animals.
