Synthesis of novel amino acids C60 fullerenyl derivatives

Abstract

Using amino acids and peptides C60 fullerene derivatives in biological science still remain an important goal for scientist, due to the 3D spherical shape of C60 together with its amazing physical and chemical properties. Recent years have found potential application of C60 fullerene as neuroprotective agents, anti-bacterials activity, anti-HIV agents, anti-inflammatory agents and DNA cleaving activity.
