Abstract
Several new 1-oxo-4-benzyl-2{1(2 H) phthatozonyl] II, III, IVa-c and v were syntheisised respectively. Some newly benzyliidenepthalimidines of type (XIV a-e) and (X Va-c) were prepared by the interaction of 3-benzylidenephthalide with thereqiost amine and/or sulpha drugs.
