Abstract
This study explored the perceptions of EFL students and teachers regarding the
immediacy behaviours of female teachers at intermediate schools at Al-Madinah Al-
Munawarah It also attempted to determine the predominant types of teachers’
immediacy behaviours, either verbal or nonverbal. The study further aimed to identify
the differences between EFL students’ and teachers’ perceptions of teachers’ use of
immediacy behaviours
