This research explores the effects of borderline personality disorder (BPD) severity on spirituality and family function in Muslim Saudi females. I hypothesized that severe BPD would reduce spirituality and impair family function, but that both education and marriage would reduce the effects of BPD severity. This study is the first to examine the effects of BPD severity on Saudi Arabian females. A total of 110 Saudi Arabian females who were diagnosed with BPD participated in an online survey. The findings from this research indicate that the severity of BPD has a statistically significant effect on spirituality. BPD severity was found to be significantly negatively correlated with spirituality and family function. Future research should continue to explore the relationships among culture, spirituality, family function, and the severity of BPD in Saudi Arabian females
