Item Restricted Developing a medical robot for MR guided cardiac catheterization(university college london, 2024) Almutairi, Abdullah; Muthurangu, VivekCardiac catheterization involves the insertion of a needle into the veins, enabling physicians to obtain images of the heart without invasive surgery. This procedure, therefore, plays a key role in the diagnosis and treatment of various heart diseases. In recent years, there has been widespread adoption of robotics in surgical procedures, whereby some of the benefits include efficiency, a faster operational speed, and a high rate of action reproducibility. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the application of behavioural cloning in training robotic systems to perform robotic magnetic resonance–guided catheterization on 3D-printed heart models. Six 3D heart models were printed, and the time taken to perform the catheterization process was measured. The data collection process consisted of manual catheterization, catheterization using a joystick, and simulations of both processes. The results indicated that the manual catheterization process was faster than the robotic one. Nevertheless, the success of the robotic-assisted simulation indicates that it is possible to use behavioural cloning to train the robotic systems to perform catheterization. This study demonstrates that behavioural cloning can be effectively adopted in the catheterization process, whereby learning models can be developed for conducting catheterization procedures.18 0Item Restricted Examining Transformational Leadership's Impact on Employee Growth and Satisfaction in Dammam – A Comparative Study of Public & Private Healthcare Facilities in Dammam(Leeds Beckett University, 2024-08) Almutairi, Abdullah; Arogundade, SuhaibTransformational leadership has been applied in several organisations in leading changes and breakthroughs that have been critical to the survival and transformation of the performance of the organisations where they have been applied. In this light, the aim of this research is to examine the influence of transformational leadership on employee growth and satisfaction in the healthcare industry of Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The positivism research philosophy is employed, along with a deductive approach and a survey research strategy. In the survey conducted, a total of 107 potential respondents were contacted, with 80 responses obtained. Both descriptive and inferential analysis were employed in analyzing the data collected. The descriptive analysis showed that both the private and the public healthcare facilities had leaders that employed styles and methods that were aligned with the transformational leadership approach. However, more respondents in the public healthcare facilities agreed to the positive impact that transformational leadership has on their satisfaction and growth, compared to the private healthcare facilities. While this suggested that the impact of transformational leadership on growth and satisfaction was more in the public healthcare facilities, the inferential analysis conducted revealed that the difference in the impact was only significant when considering promotion of workload management (work-life balance), performance, team morale, and team problem resolution as indicators of transformational leadership.31 0
