Item Restricted ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN ARABIC LANGUAGE IN THE FIELD OF COMPUTERS(Saudi Digital Library, 2024) AlShenkiti, Ajfan; ZITI, SoumiaThis study investigated the challenges and impacts of using Arabic as the medium of instruction for computer science courses in Arab universities. A descriptive methodology was used, and a survey questionnaire as a tool, was administered to a sample of 228 participants. The study concluded that teaching computer science in Arabic has both advantages and challenges. While native language instruction enhances early academic growth, foreign language skills are crucial for global competitiveness. A balanced approach, combining the strengths of both native and foreign language instruction, can optimize academic achievement and prepare students for international careers. Some recommendations were highlighted for improving educational outcomes.21 0
