Item Restricted Artificial Intelligence in Government: How Organizational and Behavioural Drivers Shape the Use of AI Insights in Decision-Making(Saudi Digital Library, 2025) Alsadun, Dhuha; Trim, PeterThis research evaluates the key drivers that shape employee intention to use and recommend AI-driven insights in the process of making decisions within organizations operating in the public sector. Using survey data collected from 106 employees working in the Saudi Arabian public sector this study focuses on how the four constructs; trust, perceived usefulness, leadership support and misalignment with operational plans influence the intention to use and recommend AI-powered insights in decision-making processes. Findings from the study show that all four constructs are statistically significant, though they vary in their influence on AI insights utilization. Usefulness and leadership support are the strongest predictors particularly when it comes to recommending AI insights to other employees. Trust in AI outputs has a statistically significant impact on the dependent variable however its effect is selective where specific traits such as perceived competence and reliability in handling complex tasks appear as significant predictors. This shows the importance of evaluating trust as a multidimensional construct rather than a single uniform aspect. In the same manner, although respondents exhibited openness to change, the misalignment between AI recommendations and operational plans was found to possibly inhibit the integration of AI insights. Particularly, factors such as emotional discomfort and the preference of the traditional processes of making decisions highlights the psychological and structural aspects that affect AI insights integration. This research provides an important contribution to the growing volume of knowledge focusing on understanding factors influencing the integration of AI powered insights in decision making processes across the Saudi Arabian public sector. This discussion introduces human behaviour as a critical aspect to consider in evaluating the key drivers that promote the intention to use AI insights as well as to recommend to others in decision making processes. Recommendation, in particular, is viewed as a key behaviour that plays an important role in encouraging trust and normalizing the use of AI insights within organizations. By focusing on the Saudi Arabian public sector this research creates real-word data that can be used to develop practical, academic and formal recommendations to improve the use of AI insights in decision-making processes in the public sector.11 0Item Restricted An Empirical Investigation into Factors Affecting Job Satisfaction within the Public Sector in Saudi Arabia(Saudi Digital Library, 2023-08-31) Altawiam, Faisal; Frode, ChristopherThe main purpose of this study is to understand and determine the factors that influence job satisfaction among public sector employees in Saudi Arabia. by using two survey instruments which are the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) to measure job satisfaction and the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) to measure organizational culture, more than 322 respondents confirm that both intrinsic and extrinsic factors play pivotal roles in enhancing job satisfaction. Specifically, the rapport between employees and their managers emerges as a salient determinant of job satisfaction. Furthermore, the analysis unveils that traits associated with clan culture are most strongly correlated with high levels of job satisfaction. As a consequence, the research impels organizations to prioritize the development and refinement of leadership styles, recognizing that effective leadership can be a linchpin in ensuring job satisfaction and thereby fostering improved organizational outcomes. The study also advocates for the promotion and nurturing of clan culture, as this particular cultural framework appears to be intrinsically linked to job satisfaction. The insights derived from this research offer a valuable roadmap for organizations seeking to optimize their internal dynamics to create a more satisfying and productive workplace environment.58 0Item Restricted EXPERIENCES OF NONPROFIT SECTOR LEADERS IN MANAGING AN EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION WITH THE PUBLIC SECTOR IN SAUDI ARABIA(Saudi Digital Library, 2023-08) Alanazi, Abdulkarem Radhi; Vaccaro, ChristianThis study explores the collaboration between the nonprofit and public sectors in Saudi Arabia from the perspective of the institutional leadership of nonprofit organizations. Since the nonprofit sector in Saudi Arabia is considered relatively new and growing, it needs to collaborate with the public sector for financial, administrative, technological, and human resource support. The government aims at improving the nonprofits’ contribution to the economy and empowering them to deliver public services. While cross-sector collaboration is necessary for nonprofits, they are keen on keeping their autonomy and independence as they collaborate with other sectors. This research, therefore, investigates the administrative power distribution mechanisms between nonprofits and their partners from the public sector. The researcher used a qualitative case study methodology to examine one of the prominent nonprofits in the healthcare field in Saudi Arabia. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with leaders from different departments and managerial levels within the organization, as well as analyzing the content of related documents. The data analysis revealed that the selected nonprofit has an outstanding performance in governance standards such as transparency and disclosure. The Firm is also managed by experienced leaders in healthcare services and public administration. These strengths resulted in the ability of the Firm to manage balanced and exemplary collaborations with its partners from the public sector. The study also revealed that the Firm complies with the requirement of the public sector partners whose role in public service intersects with the Firm’s role because collaborating with these partners is necessary to achieve its strategic goals. Recommendations for leaders and decision-makers in nonprofits and the public sector were also provided.44 0
