Item Restricted Evaluating the Influence of Riyadh Season on Elevating Visitor Satisfaction in Alignment with the Attainment of Vision 2030 Objectives(Bournemouth University, 2024-07-10) Alotaibi, Abdulrahman; Turkoglu, HandeThis study examines the impact of Riyadh Season, a major cultural event in Saudi Arabia, on visitor satisfaction and its alignment with Vision 2030 objectives. The research employs a pragmatic and deductive approach, focusing on quantitative analysis. An online questionnaire survey using Likert scale and close-ended questions was conducted, targeting 147 attendees of Riyadh Season. Random sampling techniques ensure the generalisability of findings, while a pilot study is conducted to refine research instruments and procedures. Data analysis involves thematic analysis supported by Atlas.ti software, ensuring a systematic examination of participant feedback. The research aims to assess the influence of Riyadh Season on visitor experiences, engagement levels, and overall satisfaction, providing valuable insights into the alignment of Riyadh Season with the strategic aims of Vision 2030. The study also explores how demographic factors like age, gender, and cultural background affect participants' satisfaction during Riyadh Season, aiming to understand their diverse experiences and preferences. Furthermore, the research investigates the sustained benefits and challenges faced by local businesses, hospitality services, and tourist attractions, providing recommendations for policymakers to ensure the continued positive contribution of Riyadh Season to the economic and cultural development of Saudi Arabia.43 0Item Restricted Exploring The Role Of Cultural Events In Promoting Intercultural Exchange And Dialogue In Saudi Arabia(Saudi Digital Library, 2023-09-08) Alsharif, Nouf; Skea, SallyThe focus of this study is to examine in depth how cultural events shape the perception of Saudi Arabia for both international and domestic travellers on intercultural exchange. Considering whether local people would be open to arranging similar events in the future, and the nature and quality of the response to these events is the study’s secondary purpose. Through analysing these concentrations, this research will add to the current discussion on the importance of tourism and events: (1) To determine the effectiveness of various types of cultural events in promoting and fostering intercultural exchange and discourse. (2) To comprehend how attendees of cultural events perceive intercultural exchange and discourse, and to document how these perceptions may be influenced by demographic factors. (3) To investigate the elements associated with effective cultural event creation since they may encourage intercultural interchange and debate, and to offer a method for optimising such events and their influence on intercultural discussions. To allow participants to express their own point of view, interviews tend to work best as a method of data-gathering. Interviews and surveys enable more in-depth information and comprehension to be acquired. Interviews with event’s organiser and decision-maker members of Ministry of Cultural and Ministry of Tourism took place via the Microsoft Team platform, while surveys were carried out using a Google Form provider. The data collection exercise was undertaken between the 10th and 30th of July 2023. The attraction of large numbers of foreign tourists by the provision of various types of cultural events in the country may well result in significant economic, social, cultural, and scientific advantages. Investment opportunities and upgrades to amenities are additional benefits that will play into a city or town’s decision to host such events.32 0
