Abstract The study will highlight the utilising of simulation methods, particularly with regard to undergraduate nurses and their recognition of patient deterioration. Within the current study, previous research has been explored by considering inclusive and exclusive research criteria. After considering 11 inclusive studies, a summary of their results has been presented. The conclusion highlights the significance of simulation in relation to patient deterioration. It is highlighted how simulation can result in the enhancing of understanding and knowledge, especially for undergraduate nurses, and how it should be applied in healthcare organisations and institutions. This will help the healthcare system to obtain positive outcomes while working under pressure and in emergency conditions. By using simulation, competence and decision-making skills are enhanced which helps undergraduate nurses recognise patient deterioration.
