The purpose of this project is to investigate the use of a new traffic signal controller system in a theoretical junction model, where each approach has sperate lanes for each turning flow, based on occupancy time using detectors and apply it on 2-stages, 4-stages, and the new 17-stages systems, and compare the results between those systems. This dissertation was developed by using two different software which are Vissim and Pyscripter. Vissim is known as a simulation software, and Pyscripter is acting as a signal controller device.
