dc.description.abstractThe aim of the research is to critically examine the fashion retailers’ practice in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, it identifies the current barriers and drivers in Blockchain implementation in the supply chains. Besides, it aims to discover whether the implementation of blockchain innovations in the fashion supply chain in the United Kingdom could empower retail organisations to enhance their completive advantage during the Covid-19 crisis. Therefore, this study has selected the interpretivism research philosophy and inductive approach to address the issue in this study. Also, it has relied on primary data using a qualitative interviews method. Seven Blockchain experts who work in the UK fashion industry were interviewed online. The findings of this research have identified seven themes namely, the strategic importance of Blockchain technology, The status of the Blockchain technology in the fashion supply chain, traceability and transparency in the supply chain, Implementation Barriers in blockchain The Future of blockchain., Building talent pool and Drivers.
