Abstract
The dissertation investigates the impact of digital transformation on supply chain management in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Notably, the primary purpose of this research is to identify the challenges facing SMEs in their quest to adopt and implement digital technologies, successful strategies for its adoption. Literature review is selected study methodology to explore the research question. Research findings indicate that SMEs face insurmountable challenges while attempting to adopt digital technologies. Some of the challenges include lack of technical skills, huge inadequate resources, high cost of implementation of digital technologies. Findings from this study inform strategies to overcome the challenges facing SMEs to enhance efficiency, transparency, and sustainability in SME supply chains. Finally, fostering a more sustainable and competitive business environment demands availing SMEs with requisite tools, knowledge, and support.
