Abstract

This dissertation is about the legal obstacles of foreign investment in Saudi Arabia. It makes four key elements. Firstly, the origin and background of foreign investment and the economic history of it. Secondly, it discusses the nature the Saudi commercial law and its relation to sharia law. Thirdly, presenting the economic shift from the dependency on oil to embracing foreign investment. Fourthly, the main argument which is the legal barriers of foreign investment in Saudi.
