The importance of sustainable design solutions in contemporary architecture has increased in response to rising worldwide environmental concerns. Given the urgency of the growing threat posed by climate change, implementing environmentally friendly construction methods is necessary. The goal of this study is to investigate sustainable design solutions in contemporary architecture through the case study of King Abdullah Economic City. This research has used an in-depth examination of the existing literature, followed by a thorough analysis of its findings, to acheive its objectives. The study examined 8 sources, each of which offered insights on KAEC's approach to sustainable design and its broader implications for contemporary architecture and urban planning. Five key themes emerged from the thematic analysis of this investigation, showcasing KAEC's commitment to cutting-edge architecture, energy saving, realistic sustainability criteria, efficient design techniques, and practical solutions. The findings of this study make it clear that KAEC is an incredible instance showing how sustainable design can be incorporated into modern architecture. In conclusion, this study highlighted the significance of design solutions in modern architecture, particularly in light of the urgent ecological issues that are being addressed on an international scale. According to the study's findings, King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) must maintain its commitment to implementing building techniques, renewable energy systems, and ethical waste management practices to expand its sustainability activities.
