Abstract
The aim of this report is to present the current state-of-the-art in semiconductor colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) for optically pumped lasing, with an emphasis on all-inorganic perovskite quantum dots. The method used to develop the literature review is primarily collecting the latest research about the physical and chemical properties that make semiconductor HPV CQDs suitable in laser applications. It is expected that all the collected investigations might help future projects in industries of electronics, healthcare, military, computing, and other areas using the same technology. With that, those industries can benefit from the various advantages of halide perovskite colloidal quantum dots, reducing manufacturing costs and producing more efficient and reliable laser devices.
