Using a quantitative survey methodology, data were collected from PMO professionals across various fields, including both public and private sectors. Revealing common challenges, with the primary three including lack of resources, lack of staff knowledgeable about PMO, and lack of proper automation. The findings also underline that both the public and private sectors encounter similar challenges with different percentages. While this study contributes valuable insights into project management field in Saudi Arabia, it has some limitations such as sample representativeness and survey methodology consideration.
