dc.description.abstractThis dissertation set out to explore the ePrivacy Directive and the proposed ePrivacy Regulation in relation to data privacy. It sought to establish if the requirement of informed consent regarding to cookies provide more or less protection to the data subjects over their data. The dissertation also explored the responses by authorities with respect to the problems regarding the use of cookies. Secondary data was used to examine these issues.
