This paper focuses on studies regarding how the Service environment elements on the hospitality service encounter influence consumer response. several environmental factors that affect consumer responses were critically discussed in three streams of hospitality service environment research. These streams evolved from different sources and focused on somewhat different variables of service environment factors. Besides, they also offer complementary and sometimes overlapping insights into designing the environment. However, as noted previously, there were some gaps that needed to be reframed through other research as well as some areas that managers could benefit from. Therefore, drawing on these insights, this section will critically discuss the implications of a literature review of the hospitality service environment on key stakeholders.
