According to the most recent GSMA intelligence figures, there are 5.22 billion unique cell phone users in the world today. The number of smartphones in use increases at 7 per cent annually, with more than 1 million smartphones being added to the market per day. Nowadays, navigation technology advancement is rapidly growing, as seen from the immense number of users of mobile apps, such as Google Maps (Amirruddin & Hasan, 2018). In this project, we propose utilising this navigation technology to resolve the problem of navigating confined spaces, such as a university campus. Due to the increase and diversity of buildings and departments, finding a specific destination can be challenging. The concern is the naming of structures, with many buildings not called after the names of the agency. The naming method uses an alphabetical identification, such as block N, L, or P. This system does not specify the venue but only includes a few familiar names. The challenge of navigating the campus is faced by new students, new staff and visitors. We designed a mobile app to make the campus map more accessible and user friendly for students, staff, and visitors with mobile devices. This app can run on Android and iOS platforms, and users will be able to scan for and locate campus buildings using it.
