Abstract
The present study investigated the effect of using semantic concept mapping strategy
(SCMS) on developing the writing skill of EFL female secondary students and their
attitudes towards using it. To achieve the purpose of the study a pre-post writing
achievement test was constructed to measure the improvement of students' achievement in
