Abstract

Background: A significant issue in healthcare quality is patient safety. The part played by leaders, both in developing a safety ethos and safeguarding patients, is well-recognised as essential. Objective: To examine the relationship between nursing transformational leadership and patient safety. this study sought to answer the following question: What is the relationship between nursing transformational leadership and patient safety? Design: In formulating a response to the question mentioned above, An adapted systematic review was conducted utilizing critical appraisal tools developed by the Joanna Briggs Institute for cross-sectional studies and qualitative research. Methods: CINAHL, EMCARE, and MEDLINE were used to perform a systematic search. Additional research was found via hand searches and grey literature. Articles were chosen based on predetermined eligibility criteria and then assessed for quality utilising JBI Critical evaluation methods. The results from 10 research were compiled and presented using the Cochrane Collaboration Data Extraction Form. Findings: there are strong relationships between nursing transformational leadership and patient safety. studies demonstrated the need to utilize transformational leadership in nursing practice to increase patient safety. Conclusions: To enhance patient safety, transformational leadership should be utilised in nursing practice. However, To evaluate the relationship between transformational leadership and patient safety, future research should use a longitudinal or experimental approach.
