dc.description.abstract | In recent years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has exerted much effort to support women’s role in achieving economic development and increasing the participation of women in the economy. This dissertation critically reviews existing research on women's empowerment policies and economic participation, with a specific focus on their impact within the Saudi Arabian context. The study reports that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has implemented numerous policies and initiatives that focus on empowering women and enhancing their participation in the economy. One of the objectives outlined in Vision 2030 is to boost women's involvement in the labour market, which reflects the female participation in the labour market. | |
